The woman who was hit by a car in Sestu last week did not make it. Maria Rosaria Adriotti died Monday night in the intensive care unit of Brotzu from the effects of a head trauma with hematoma.

For reasons to be ascertained, a car driven by a 30-year-old ran over her.

Rescue arrived on the spot but the situation immediately appeared serious, with immediate transfer to the hospital in code red.

The accident occurred at the crossroads between via della Resistenza and via Fratelli Cervi. According to an initial reconstruction, it seems that the man had already passed the point where the woman was, then he would have reversed, perhaps because he had taken the wrong road.

A vehicular homicide case has been opened.
