Intensive investigations to reconstruct the journey made last week by the Polish truck loaded with 110 kilos of cocaine, seized last Saturday by the Guardia di Finanza on the ex 131. The two arrested on charges of drug trafficking, a 38-year-old Polish man and a 51-year-old from Iglesias, will be questioned today by Gup Luca Melis.
The investigation is coordinated by the deputy public prosecutor Gilberto Ganassi, the suspect from Iglesias is defended by the lawyer Annarella Gioi. In this regard, there is total secrecy: the truck with the drugs, as mentioned, was stopped on the ex 131 near Sestu by the Gico financial police of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the provincial command of Cagliari.
The finance police noticed a car approaching the truck, with the driver supposedly taking delivery of four bags. The finance police, coming out into the open from where they had been stationed, blocked the two suspects and then seized the bags containing 110 kilos of cocaine , apparently destined for sale in Sardinia. Also seized were 29,500 euros.
The investigations were extended to the whole island, in an attempt to reconstruct the drug dealing network and those responsible for the "ring" valued at 10 million euros .
