Serrenti, flames from the engine while driving the van: fear on 131

The Carabinieri of the Sanluri and Furtei Stations intervened in Serrenti with a team of the Fire Brigade for a vehicle on fire along the state road 131 .

It was a van, a Fiat Scudo registered to a 45-year-old from Sorgono, a resident of Tonara, an entrepreneur .

The woman was driving the vehicle when flames suddenly rose from the engine compartment. With great composure, she stopped at the first lay-by and got out.

The vehicle was almost completely destroyed and was removed with roadside assistance . Traffic has experienced slight delays.
