Serdiana, flurry of fines on the roads: over a thousand reports in the last 12 months

An intense activity with 1,131 reports issued , of which 419 following a speed camera check . There were 85 administrative fines . Those for waste , 77 . The trend of the last 5 years of work allows us to identify an annual average of 875.8 minutes issued; from the 2017 figure of 616 reports issued, we have reached the 2022 figure of 1,131, with an increase of over 45%.

Since last April, the commander has been Major Andrea Casti. An intense activity on a very vast territory.

This is the result of the work carried out by the local police of the Union of Municipalities of Parteolla and Basso Campidano which includes the Municipalities of Serdiana, Dolianova, Soleminis, Barrali, Donori and Settimo San Pietro Total 25 thousand inhabitants). The headquarters of the local police is in Serdiana.

The operational detachments are in Settimo (with three traffic policemen), in Barrali, Donori and Soleminis with a traffic policeman. Overall, in the six Municipalities during 2022 operations were carried out for 1,697 days. Among the fulfilments of the Body, the constant supervision of the road sections, the entrance and exit times of the compulsory schools in the individual Municipalities. To add then the fight against the abandonment of waste, the road services during events and services arranged by ordinance of the Cagliari Police Headquarters.

"The institutional activity, again in 2022 - added the commander, Major Andrea Casti - also concerned controls on commercial, construction and environmental matters (conferment of waste in urban areas, upon request and in support of the person in charge of the collection and conferment of waste, with sanctioning assessments on various occasions). The phenomenon of abandonment of waste was particularly marked , as was the phenomenon of stray animals which required daily interventions of interlocution with the competent Veterinary and Public Hygiene Service, with the structures affiliated with the collection of animals in custody, providing logistical help to the activities, noting that very often the animals did not have an identification microchip».

The Single Local Police Corps is now made up of 16 units, including an officer in charge of the service, Major Andrea Casti (since 30 April), 2 executive instructor officers and 13 operators. Since November 2022, there have been 12 operators.
