"Two splendid girls who loved the island, we can only be close to papa Vittorio". The community of Senorbì is in shock due to the tragedy of Riccione, where the sisters Giulia and Alessia Pisanu, 15 and 17, lost their lives overwhelmed by a Frecciarossa train. Their father, Vittorio, is from Senorbì, the town where he left when he was 18 with his brother Pier Paolo. The families of both today live in Madonna di Castenaso, in the Bolognese area.

"Girls full of life"

"The last time in Sardinia of Giulia and Alessia dates back to June", recalls Roberto Senis, cousin of father Vittorio Pisanu who knew Giulia well, Alessia, their sister Stefania, and who on August 13 was supposed to be the best man at Pier Paolo, the uncle of the girls who was to get married in Sardinia. «Vittorio and Pier Paolo had moved to Emilia and found luck: the first sells industrial shelving, the other has a moving company. However, both have never interrupted their ties with Sardinia, coming here every summer ». The last time of father Vittorio with his daughters two months ago: «We spent several days together with Costa Rei. Giulia and Alessia were two wonderful girls, of superfine intelligence and full of life who unfortunately are no longer there. They also had a great desire to work: Giulia, for example, was attending a hairdressing course. The least we can do now is to stay close to the family ». Dad and daughters had a splendid relationship: «Vittorio gave everything for them and satisfied them in the right way: every time they went out he went to pick them up even at three in the morning. A caring father who loved his daughters. He sent messages every five minutes. '

Country in mourning

The first to have given Senorbì the news of the tragedy at the Riccione railway station is Don Nicola Ruggeri. The feast of Sant'Antioco and Santa Mariedda is in progress these days: «The parish community joins the great pain of Vittorio and the whole Pisanu family for the tragic death of Alessia and Giulia. With faith we join in pleading prayer to Santa Mariedda, to Santa Barbara and Sant'Antioco so that they may obtain consolation for Vittorio and all his family. Alessia and Giulia have peace and eternal light in paradise ». The mayor Alessandro Pireddu is also close to the family: «I express condolences to the family on behalf of our entire community. We are talking about a tragedy with victims two good girls in the prime of adolescence who unfortunately have been deprived of their future ». Michele Cincidda from Villasimius also knew the girls: «With their father, my friend, they often came to visit us. What happened is a painful tragedy. I can only be close to Vittorio and his family ».

Messages of condolence

In the meantime, count of the messages of deep condolence published on social networks by people who knew the girls and their family are lost: "Only silence and prayer for a family that is now in pain for the loss of two daughters in the height of their youth" . And again: «We are speechless in front of this tragedy so difficult to understand and accept and we feel an unbridgeable pain. The town gathers around parents, family and friends ”, writes the Municipality of Castenaso led by the mayor Carlo Gubellini. Then there are those who remember the messages that Giulia and Alessia dedicated to each other on social networks: «Sometimes I think my sister is the only reason for living. A sister as a best friend ».
