Maurizio Soi is the winner of the first Pizza Day in Selegas promoted by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality on the occasion of the Estate Seleghese event.

The initiative was created to enhance the healthy habit of preparing homemade pizza , with inventiveness, creativity and above all with the use of genuine ingredients, most of the time at zero km.

«Many people approached the world of amateur pizza during the lockdown due to the health emergency and now that that difficult period seems far away, we wanted to organize an event that could enhance their skills in front of the wood-fired oven », he said mayor of Selegas Alessio Piras .

The president of the Pro Loco tourist association, Michele Fadda, was also satisfied with the excellent success of the event: «We experienced an evening full of taste and socialization». During the summer there will still be many outdoor events with parties, fun and shows for the whole family.

«My wife is Neapolitan and she passed on this passion to me, once I tried my hand at preparing pizza I realized how fun and rewarding this could be», said Maurizio Soi from Senorbì, the winner of the first Pizza Contest in Selegas.
