The Carabinieri of the Sanluri Company are continuing their investigation into the 49-year-old man from Decimomannu, who was arrested in recent days in flagrante delicto while attempting to commit a theft inside a school in Serramanna.
The investigation, continued relentlessly by the military personnel of the Sanluri Operational Unit and Mobile Radio Unit, supported by their colleagues from the Decimomannu Station, has brought to light a series of predatory incidents that had recently affected local schools.
During the personal and vehicle searches carried out on the man, investigators found evidence directly linking him to two other thefts that occurred at schools in Villacidro on January 13th and 31st.
The 49-year-old man was found with specific keys used to open the windows and a loot of approximately 130 coins, worth approximately €20, believed to be the proceeds of the raids on the Villacidro institutions. The evidence was further aggravated by the seizure of the clothing the man was believed to have worn during the crimes.
In addition to the stolen goods and break-in tools, the Carabinieri also found narcotics held for personal use: heroin and marijuana, which were placed under administrative seizure.
For these reasons, the man was reported at large to the Judicial Authority for the crime of receiving stolen goods and reported to the Prefecture of Cagliari as a drug user.
