One hundred and forty grams of heroin. This is what Carabinieri seized in Sassari last Saturday from a home in the city.

The operation was the culmination of an investigation that led to the arrest of two men in flagrante delicto, held responsible, to varying degrees, for illegal possession of narcotics, resisting arrest, and assault on a public official.

The Carabinieri intervened at the home of one of the two, known to have been under house arrest since September 2025 for drug-related crimes.

Having established that the apartment was frequented by suspected drug users, the police carried out a search but encountered resistance from one of the suspects, who, in addition to cursing the police, also attacked one of them before being subdued.

At the home, officers also found €7,220, believed to be the likely proceeds of drug dealing. The two men were arrested and placed under house arrest pending a validation hearing.
