Fatal accident in Caniga , a village in Sassari, on state highway 127 bis. A 38-year-old motorcyclist, Antonello Olivieri, lost his life in the Ilde Tropu area.

The crash occurred shortly after 8pm. According to initial findings from local police, the man lost control of his motorbike while taking a bend , went off the road and crashed into a low wall.

Local police and 118 were on site, but resuscitation attempts were in vain .
