The doctor returns to Palmadula, a district of Sassari, after years of absence. A doctor has applied to be able to practice in one of the premises in Piazza Assunta, owned by the Region and given on free loan to the Municipality, which made it usable through various works after the collapse of the structure in 2020.
The municipal council gave the green light to the initiative and, in recent days, approved the professional's application and leased the 60 square meters of the property at a subsidized rent.
Underlining «the relevance of the social goals pursued in compliance with the primary needs of the community» and recognizing how the basic medical service in Palmadula has been absent for several years «due to the known difficulties at regional level in guaranteeing this fundamental health care facility for the disadvantaged locations".
Now for the activity to begin, permits from the local health authority are needed and then the village will once again be able to make use of a doctor.
