He would have stolen gold jewelery worth 8 thousand euros in Sassari. A 32-year-old non-Italian woman ended up on trial on this charge and, in recent days in the court of the Turritan capital, she was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison by judge Antonietta Crobu.

According to the prosecution, in 2020 the woman entered an apartment in the Monte Rosello district with an accomplice, who remained unknown, stealing the jewelery during the absence of the landlady. Who, upon returning, finding the two on the stairs, asked for explanations and received the reply that they had been in the wrong building and then disappeared.

During the trial the accused, defended by the lawyer Marco Salaris, denied being the woman reported by the offended party, stating that, in that period, she was pregnant and it could not have been her. Among other things, indicating a compatriot with whom, in his opinion, she had been confused. Version not considered credible by prosecutor Ilaria Achenza who requested the sentence then confirmed by the judge.
