Trash bins torn apart, bottles smashed, loud noises . For the residents of Via dei Gremi in Sassari, the weekend is a nightmare from which they only wake on Monday. "Dozens of kids," they say, requesting anonymity, "arrive in the afternoon and leave late at night." In the midst of this, the excessive consumption of spirits by what appear to be teenagers, both male and female.

"They get increasingly upset with everything they drink and start yelling, arguing, and at a certain point they throw bottles." In the street gardens, the cemetery of glass and garbage scattered on the ground represents the scene the sanitation worker finds in the early hours of the morning. This time, even a wastebasket was torn down and thrown on the lawn.

"It's like this every week," they complain. "We've complained many times without receiving any response." The feeling, they conclude, is of being held hostage, waiting every Monday to be released.
