24 bottles of spirits, 22 packs of coffee, and a Dior perfume . These are the items stolen from the Crai supermarket on Via IV Novembre in Sassari last night by a 28-year-old man from Sassari . He was then caught by local police officers in the historic center while attempting to flee with the stolen goods, which were placed in several bags and worth a total of approximately €750.

As soon as he saw the police, the man abandoned his loot and tried to flee . When the police caught up with him, he first broke free from one officer's grip and then pushed another , finally being stopped.

This morning, the validation hearing was held where the man, who is facing other pending property crime proceedings and is represented by lawyers Valeria Testoni and Danilo Mattana, was placed under house arrest by Judge Stefania Mosca-Angelucci, who validated the arrest.

The prosecutor Giovanni Dore had requested prison.
