Indicted for stalking and defamation via social media. Yesterday in Sassari the decision of the preliminary investigations judge Sergio De Luca against a thirty-eight-year-old from Campania for facts dating back to a few months of 2023 when he was having an affair with a thirty-six-year-old from the Sassari hinterland.
According to the charges, the man allegedly exercised obsessive control over his partner, forbidding her to go out with her friends and checking her cell phone while she slept, waking her up and insulting her about her parenting skills . He then threatened to commit suicide by cutting his wrists if she left him, calling her, in front of her mother, "a good-for-nothing."
Once the relationship ended, the man allegedly defamed the thirty-six-year-old on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, threatening to publish an alleged video in which the woman was intimate with her ex . He then published, according to the prosecution, a question and answer box on Instagram with denigrating content about the offended party even if she was not named. Phrases that again referred to the alleged hot video and supposed sexual acts with other people as well as insulting the woman with statements such as "he is already looking for other chickens to pluck".
The prosecutor Elisa Succu is requesting the referral to trial, while the lawyer defending the accused is Carlo Ermini and the lawyer Camilla Pirino is assisting the injured party.
