"Mayor, step back and don't hand the keys to the city of Sassari to Francesca Albanese." This request comes from Luca Babudieri, city coordinator of the Brothers of Italy party, following the recent statements by the UN Special Rapporteur following the attack on the offices of the newspaper "La Stampa."

Albanese, while condemning the violence, said "this should also be a warning to the press to get back to doing their job."

These statements have generated considerable controversy and, for Babudieri , "are unacceptable in a free and democratic nation." After expressing solidarity with journalists, the Melonian recalls: "Even in red Bologna, Mayor Matteo Lepore and numerous leading figures of the Democratic Party are distancing themselves from Albanese's words, even considering revoking his honorary citizenship."

In Sassari, the city council had recently approved by majority vote the gesture of handing over the Keys to the City, which Babudieri is calling for to be revoked. "The attack on a newspaper's editorial offices," Babudieri reports, "cannot and should not serve as a warning to anyone. Such incidents deserve unanimous, unambiguous condemnation from all political forces, regardless of affiliation."

Anyone who believes otherwise, this is the conclusion, "is not worthy of the honor of receiving the Keys of Sassari."
