Commendations for the Carabinieri of the province of Sassari. Yesterday, during the visit of the commander of the Carabinieri Legion "Sardegna," Brigadier General Francesco Rizzo, the awards were presented for the military's service in the Sassari area.

At the headquarters on Via Rockefeller, in the presence of, among others, the provincial commander, Colonel Antonello Maione, Vice Brigadier Mario Rubattu of the Ozieri Company received the Legion Command Simple Commendation diploma for saving a person attempting to take his own life. The same commendation was also given to Lieutenant Martino Spezzigu, Warrant Officer Andrea Carbini, and Brigadier Gabriele Baire of the Tempio Pausania Company, who conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of individuals involved in the crimes of pedophilia and child pornography.

Lieutenant Alberto Maria Pittalis, Warrant Officer Aurelio Franco Beneventi, Brigadier General Giuseppe Luigi Pala and Maximilian Perrella, and Select Corporal Simone Forte of the Sassari Investigative Unit were commended for the arrest of a person believed to be responsible for a murder committed in Porto Torres in April 2021.
