Almost 18 kilos of marijuana were found in a sheepfold in Sassari, in the "Campanedda" area.

A 50-year-old farmer from Alghero ended up in handcuffs.

The carabinieri of the capital, together with colleagues from the "Hunters of Sardinia" airborne squadron, carried out a check on the land within the man's availability, recovering two bins with the drug inside and 700 euros in small denomination banknotes.

The arrest was validated and the farmer was placed under house arrest.
