A young Carabiniere for a day in Sassari. This morning, at the provincial command headquarters on Via Rockefeller, the military fulfilled the dream of 12-year-old Nicolò. In a letter, he had asked the Carabinieri if he could wear the Carabiniere's headgear and visit the barracks.

The child, accompanied by his parents, was welcomed by the Provincial Commander, Colonel Antonio Maione, along with representatives from all the headquarters' departments. Nicolò got an up-close look at the Carabinieri's cars, uniforms, and equipment, climbing aboard the radio car and motorcycles of the Mobile Radio unit, while the Bomb Squad showed him their Tiger robot.

The twelve-year-old was able to wear the cap with the flame and visit the barracks offices. At the end of the visit, he was moved to receive a backpack from the Carabinieri, a key ring, a cap, and the certificate, presented to him by Colonel Maione, of “Little Carabiniere for a Day.”
