The trial in which two owners of a restaurant company , Fabio Muresu and Carlo Pettinau , are accused together with three employees , Andrea Santagati , Gianmario Fiori and Domenica Casedda , opened today in the court of Assizes in Sassari , for facts dating back to January 2019.

The charges are of attempted extortion , private violence , abusive access to a computer system , personal injury and damage to information , data and computer programs. The alleged victim, another employee , would have received strong pressure to sign his resignation with violence and threats including that of not letting him work anywhere anymore . According to the indictment, they would then have taken possession of the cell phone of the offended party by snatching it from his hand and, after having entered the cell phone illegally, they would have deleted the audio recording made by the man with the threatening sentences.

Today the defense , supported by the lawyers Francesca Fiori and Daniele Alicicco , presented to the panel - chaired by Monia Adami , alongside Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla - a preliminary question relating to the notification received by one of the defendants. However, the exception was rejected by the judges who postponed the hearing to October in which, as requested by prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu , the offended person will be heard, represented by the lawyer Gian Marco Luciano . The trial passed first through Cagliari because it is the owner of computer crimes, and the indictment was decided in the regional capital.
