Sassari, a taste of Faradda with the descent of the Candelieri Medi

A taste of Faradda yesterday in Sassari with the Descent of the Medium Candles. Sixteen candles paraded from 5:00 PM until late evening from Largo Cavallotti, along Corso Vittorio Emanuele to Porta Sant'Antonio, and then along Corso Vico, finally reaching the church of Santa Maria di Betlem. After the medals were awarded to participants in the early afternoon by Mayor Giuseppe Mascia, the procession began its route, gradually joined by a growing crowd of spectators, filling every space, particularly Corso Vittorio Emanuele. All the Candles, carried mostly by young people, are inspired by the official ones of August 14th.
