Tragic death in Alghero of an 8 year old girl , originally from Villanova Monteleone .

The little girl died yesterday in the intensive care unit of the civil hospital following complications that arose after an operation on her tonsils that was supposed to have taken place on Thursday in the same hospital.

The town of 2,100 inhabitants is shocked by what happened, also because the girl's family is very well known .

The Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case.
