Sassari, 38-year-old man in a coma after being beaten outside a bar: house arrest

Last June, he allegedly attacked a 36-year-old man outside Bar 188 in Predda Niedda, Sassari. The attack, which occurred after an altercation, resulted in the victim being admitted to the intensive care unit of the Santissima Annunziata Hospital and placed in a medically induced coma.

He recovered from this condition and was released in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the Flying Squad, led by Michele Mecca and coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Camilla Battaglini, began an investigation, which led to the identification of the 38-year-old.

Yesterday, the preliminary hearing took place in court for the man, accused of assault and represented by the lawyer Paolo Spano. Preliminary Investigation Judge Sergio De Luca ordered house arrest and an electronic tag. The civil plaintiff is represented by the lawyer Marco Palmieri.
