One hundred million cubic meters of water lost in the space of a month . The drought emergency in Sardinia is worsening, the reservoirs are increasingly empty: according to the data relating to 30 June , within a month the filling rate has dropped by over 5 percentage points, from 62.8% to 57.4% .

In detail, the capacity of the reservoirs went from 1,145.63 million cubic meters to 1,048.06 million . All within thirty days, a figure that perfectly captures the emergency.

Gallura is saved, with the Liscia reservoir (71.7% full), the Tirso area (85.8%) and the dams on the Flumendosa (all between 63 and 80%) .

For the rest, it's a summer of thirst. All the other basins are at a level of danger that requires a lower supply of water, first for the countryside and then for drinking water.

On the housing front, both residential and tourist, the summer should be safe. It is the fields that are suffering from thirst : the stop to irrigation has already arrived in the Posada district (the Maccheronis basin is at 26.8%), in the countryside of Torpè, Siniscola, Budoni and San Teodoro. The situation in Sulcis and in the south-east of the island is also very alarming , where some municipalities have already declared a state of disaster.
