Another day of high tension in Sardinia, where nine fires were reported in different areas of the island.

In four cases, regional air support and the national firefighting system were required to contain the flames, which were fueled by wind and high temperatures.

San Sperate, in the Riu Ponti Becciu area, was the site of the most severe fire of the day. Firefighting operations were coordinated by the Dolianova Forestry Corps with the support of a helicopter from its base in Pula. On the ground, teams from the Forestas agency (Monastir-Santa Lucia), the Cagliari fire department, and volunteers from the Assemini and San Sperate associations responded. The flames destroyed approximately one hectare of farmland. The helicopter concluded operations around 5:10 PM.

Shortly thereafter, in Sestu, the same helicopter was diverted due to a small fire . The blaze, quickly contained, required the intervention of volunteers from the "L'Aquila" association of Assemini and local barracelli. The helicopter returned to its base in Pula at 5:45 PM.

Another fire, classified as an interface fire, broke out in Nuoro, in the Toddò Tana area. Coordinated by the Nuoro Forestry Corps and the GAUF CFVA, the rescue effort involved a helicopter from Farcana and three Forestas teams. The flames affected approximately two hectares of uncultivated land. Aerial operations concluded around 4:10 PM.

Finally, cleanup and control activities were carried out in Osilo, in the Sa Pedra Bianca area , where residual sources of the fire that broke out between July 27 and 28 persist. The helicopter from Anela operated in the area until 1:30 PM to prevent further re-ignitions.
