Another 17 fires broke out in just a few hours in as many places in Sardinia on Thursday, which brings the total number of interventions in July, a month which has just begun, to more than 50.

A real emergency, to counter which, after those from Friuli, civil protection teams from Lombardy are also arriving.

According to the latest bulletin issued by the Forestry Corps in three locations, where the fire front was more "fierce" and challenging, aerial vehicles also had to intervene to support the operators on the ground.

The alarm mainly affected the Nuoro area and in particular the territory of Orgosolo, where a helicopter took off from the Farcana base went into action, and in Orune, where another helicopter carried out launches to put out the flames that broke out in the Sa'e area Cart.

On Thursday there was an alarm for a fire also in the Nurri area, in the Riu S'Arrixeddu area . To put out the flames, in addition to the men from the Forest Service, the Forestas Agency and volunteers, a helicopter took off from Villasalto and a Superpuma from the Fenosu base.
