«Sardinia and Sicily should give birth to an airline that connects all the Italian islands to each other and to the Continent».

The proposal comes from Antonio Moro, Councilor for Transport of the Solinas council , who spoke during a meeting in Palermo on the theme of autonomy and insularity, organized by Innovazione per l'Italia, in collaboration with the Sicily Foundation and sponsored by the Sicilian region.

"In the days in which the powers of the Regions are being redefined with differentiated autonomy, it is necessary - Moro explained - to give a credible response to our community and a sign of great innovation with the birth of a common front between Sardinia and Sicily, which puts at the center the needs of the two islands, starting with transport, with the birth of an airline company of the islands . The fundamental point is not only insularity, but also the civil life of the island communities".

For Moro, therefore, «we need to reconnect with the winning systems of the Balearic Islands, Corsica, and seize the extraordinary opportunity that will be given by the Spanish presidency in the European Parliament, because the Balearic Islands are within Catalonia. And in the internal negotiation with the Spanish state, Catalonia weighs in".
