Sunday of overwork for Sardinia's firefighting teams, busy putting out thirteen fires that broke out in just a few hours in as many locations on the island.
In six cases it was also necessary to intervene by air vehicles to support the men on the ground.
One of the most challenging fronts was that in the Bottidda countryside, where the staff of the Bono Forestry Corps Station went into action, together with Forestas, firefighters and barracelli. A helicopter that took off from Anela was also in flight.
The Superpuma helicopter intervened in Loiri Porto San Paolo to help extinguish a fire that affected the Montiggiu Tundu area.
Again: ground and helicopter teams also in action in Arzana , in the Monte Sa Onigedda and Cumbidarteri areas, and in the Decimomannu countryside.
Flames also in Ulassai , in the Scala 'e Cannasa area. Also in this case, the men of the Forestry Corps intervened, requesting the support of the Forestas Agency teams of three aircraft, including, again, the Superpuma, which took off from San Cosimo, Villasalto and Fenosu.
Once the extinguishing operations were completed, the clean-up operations and the counting of the damage caused by the fires began.
