He wanted to keep fit, despite his age. For this he searched the internet for a good offer to buy a treadmill. So he came across an ad, which turned out to be a scam.
The victim of the scam is a 75-year-old from Sant'Antioco, who also paid 289 euros to a 56-year-old from Pieve Santo Stefano, in the province of Arezzo.
After days of vain waiting for the shipment of the machinery, the man finally ate the leaf and so he presented himself to the police station, denouncing the incident.
The military immediately started the investigation of the case, managing in a short time to track down the scammer.
For her, the unavoidable complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Cagliari was triggered.
