Sanluri, 19-year-old under house arrest mistreats mother: in prison

The Carabinieri of the Sanluri Station arrested a 19-year-old local man in execution of an order to revoke the benefit of house arrest.

The boy – sentenced to 1 year, 2 months and 6 days of imprisonment after a theft committed in Guspini – had been granted the alternative measure to prison, to be served at his mother's home. But after repeated episodes of mistreatment and abuse against the woman, the competent authorities were reported.

Hence the decision - given that cohabitation between mother and son had become impossible and risky - to revoke the granting of house arrest. The young man, therefore, will finish serving his sentence in prison.
