Safety at work, three construction sites blocked in Marmilla

Three construction sites blocked , three people reported and fines of almost 52 thousand euros . It is the balance of the checks carried out by the carabinieri of the Mogoro company in collaboration with the staff of the workplace prevention and safety service of Oristano, in the upper Marmilla area in terms of safety in the workplace.

Four shipyards and five companies ended up in the spotlight. In all nine cases , irregularities were found which led to the complaint of three sole directors of companies carrying out renovation works in various private homes.

For the three accused , originally from Selargius, Monastir and San Gavino Monreale , the entrepreneurial activity was also suspended for violation of the rules on health and safety in the workplace.

" Administrative fines have also been high for a total of 51,800 euros - explain the carabinieri - above all for violations regarding the absence of the plan for the assembly, use and dismantling of scaffolding for work at height, the operational safety plan, the failure to carry out of training and medical visits to workers, the absence of first aid tools and the failure to defend openings in construction site areas".
