“Sa ratantira”, the appointment with the Carnival is back in Cagliari
Parades in the historic districts but also a beer festival and events for the little ones

After two years of hiatus , the traditional Carnival of Cagliari returns .
On the street and in the square, "Sa ratantira casteddaia", flanked by the other two historic associations "ACS Senza confine Rione Marina" and "Comitato Villaggio Villaggio Pescatori", with the support of the Municipality, returns to organize parades of masks and, precisely, the " ratify ”.
"It will be a special Carnival that will really involve everyone, young and old ", said the Councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism, Alessandro Sorgia , at the presentation.
THE PROGRAM – It begins on Thursday 16 February with departure at 16.30 from Piazza Indipendenza , in the Castello district: the parade will pass through Villanova, Marina and Stampace.
Sunday 19 , starting at 5.30 pm from Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the "Carnival in the family" parade is scheduled, which will touch the very central via Manno, via Regina Margherita, via Roma and largo Carlo Felice.
Tuesday 21st , starting from Piazza Giovanni XXIII at 5pm, the procession will parade through Via Dante, Paoli, Sonnino, Alghero, Garibaldi and Manno , ending in Via Santa Margherita with the burning of King Canciofali . Also on Tuesday 21 February in Piazza Del Carmine initiatives starting at 9 in the morning between Disney mascots, a musical space with DJ entertainer and a masked party with zeppolata. In the afternoon, from 4 pm, parade of Disney mascots, entertainment with dance, music, children's face painting area, storytelling and more donuts for everyone.
In Piazza Del Carmine from the afternoon of Thursday 16th until 18th February, the “Locanda latina” association also organizes “ Birrande – Carnival beer edition ”, with music, entertainment and good food. For Saturday 18 the association "Strada fare" proposes "Dulcis in fundo": from 16 to 21 customers who will enter one of the 63 participating shops in via Manno and via Garibaldi will be able to taste some good zeppola for free; from 7 to 9 pm the appointment is with lots of cartoon characters and more donuts.
The program of "Su carrasciali pirresu", Sunday 19, Tuesday 21 and Sunday 26 February, is also varied.
And Sunday 26 February the fifteenth edition of the Vespiglia , from 11 in via Azuni.
