Rodolfo Sabelli, the new Prosecutor at the head of the DDA is at work from today
An extraordinary hearing was held today which was also attended by the national prosecutor Giovanni MelilloAt the end of an extraordinary hearing held by the President of the Cagliari court, Vincenzo Amato, the new Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Cagliari and coordinator of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Sardinia, Rodolfo Sabelli, took possession of his functions .
Also present in the college were the president of the second criminal section of the court, Giovanni Massidda, and the head of the Gip office of Giuseppe Pintori.
«By assuming these functions - said the new prosecutor - I also assume a duty of comparison, dialogue and collaboration with the whole office. I think that for a magistrate, trust is everything, trust which is not the search for consensus or applause ».
The national anti-mafia prosecutor Giovanni Melillo was also present at the ceremony. "As happened on other occasions - he said - my presence is meant to be the sign of the existence of a circuit of collaboration which serves to build around the function of the district anti-mafia prosecutors a fabric of cooperative relations necessary to reduce the risk of contradictions, if not of tensions and conflicts that do not help the credibility of the jurisdiction".
The Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio and numerous magistrates also took part in the hearing . Sabelli will immediately hold the plenary meeting to meet all the substitutes, including the four prosecutors of the Dda, the officials and the heads of the judicial police. The new public prosecutor will be able to count on two additional prosecutors, Paolo De Angelis and Guido Pani .
