High speed, cell phone use and the psycho-physical state of the drivers are in the sights
Sweeping checks by the local police of Sassari on the streets where the greatest number of accidents are recorded.
Until March 31, the local police will guard via Predda Niedda, via Buddi Buddi, via Budapest, via Pirandello, via Carlo Felice, via Papa Giovanni XXIII, the former ss 131, and again in Ottava and via Domenico Millelire.
Activities as part of a road safety campaign launched by the Command to prevent accidents and raise awareness among motorists to respect the rules of the road.
Controls will be extended to evening and night hours and will be tightened on weekends. This activity is accompanied by numerous other initiatives that will form an integral part of the actions that the local police are implementing for 2022: checks aimed at ascertaining the psycho-physical state of drivers, on the correct use of restraint systems (such as for example seat belts), on the use of mobile phones while driving and by pedestrians while crossing the roadway.
