Sentenced to eight months for vehicular homicide. Yesterday in court in Sassari the decision of judge Claudia Sechi for a 35-year-old from Cagliari who, in October 2018, had hit an elderly person in the evening in via Marconi in Uri while crossing the road.

The Hyundai, which the woman was driving, was proceeding, according to the defense supported by the lawyer Gianfranco Oppes, at low speed when it hit the 83-year-old who, initially, seemed in good condition but then worsened during the night.

Prosecutor Paolo Piras had requested a two-year sentence for the woman, arguing that, in any case, she had not behaved with due prudence. The judge instead granted generic mitigating circumstances and non-mention.

For the civil part the lawyers were Marco Fiori, Michele Galia and Vittorio Delogu while the lawyers Salvatore Salaris and Andrea Piroddi assisted the insurance.
