Rivers of cocaine in Sardinia: 27 arrests and 36 kilos seized, turnover of 25 million euros

From this morning to dawn, over 200 men and various police dog units went into action, which implemented the precautionary measures ordered by the investigating magistrate.
"Cold Spring" is the name of the investigation, which had been going on for two years: during today's operation, coordinated by the Cagliari District Anti-Mafia Directorate, 36 kilos of very pure cocaine were seized and documented trafficking of over 200 kilos. The turnover is estimated at over 25 million euros .
The drug was delivered all over the island in high-powered cars driven by unsuspecting couriers . The loaves were hidden in compartments obtained in the bodywork of the cars.
