Rape drug at home, two arrests in Cagliari

A 49-year-old personal trainer and a 50-year-old employee were arrested in Cagliari by the State Police because they were found in possession of 2,800 ml of liquid GBL, a substance known as "rape drug", purchased online.

For some days the two men had been watched by the second section of the Flying Squad. Late yesterday morning, it was a mobile policeman who delivered the package with drugs, pretending to be the postal courier in charge of delivery. In the package were two one-liter plastic bottles with GBL inside.

During the search in the apartment where the two lived and that followed, another 800 ml of the same drug were seized which, if placed on the market, would have been divided into 3600 doses and would have yielded a total of about 45 thousand euros.

Those arrested were placed under house arrest by order of the Public Prosecutor and will be judged with a very direct rite.
