"When I get back I'll kill you." This is one of the threats that led a fifty-four-year-old from Sassari to trial on charges of violence against his wife and her son.

Today in court in Sassari, Judge Monia Adami sentenced him to two years in prison, increasing the sentence requested by the prosecutor.

The violence, according to the charges, dates back to the years from 2002 to 2014, when the man allegedly insulted and mistreated his partner and displayed all his contempt for the young man.

The verbal attacks were often accompanied by slaps to the face, repeated along with death threats also addressed to her son.

Episodes which were frequently witnessed by the couple's minor son. During yet another argument, in 2014, the man allegedly hit the older boy with a crutch and then attacked his wife who intervened to prevent the fight.

The last clash before the family split up seeking refuge elsewhere and began with the complaints the judicial process concluded in the first degree today. The lawyer Marco Manca defended the accused.
