Over 20 kilos of drying marijuana were recovered by the agents of the Nuoro Flying Squad who arrested two breeders.

DS, 37, and SP, 47, were stopped aboard an off-road vehicle for a normal check but the officers, suspicious of the strong smell coming from the vehicle, decided to investigate further also because the two men had shown a certain nervous when asked what they were carrying in the box. "Cattle feed," they replied.

But what was found was something else: 23 kilos of drying marijuana, and for both of them the handcuffs were triggered. They were placed under house arrest pending the validation judgment.

The police action against drug trafficking has also given results in Ogliastra. In Girasole the agents of the Tortolì Commissariat found, hidden in the old 118 headquarters, about 2 kilos of cannabis ready to be placed on the local market.
