Boom of online searches to organize holidays in Sardinia after the release of the Disney film "The Little Mermaid".

This was reported by the British news site Daily Mail , according to which - thanks to the success of the film, shot right on the island, between Castelsardo, Aglientu and Golfo Aranci - the destination "Sardinia" in the search field of the booking site EasyJet Holidays has seen in recent days even a surge of 216%.

It is - it is highlighted - the phenomenon of "set jetting" , or the tendency to choose as a holiday destination a particularly beautiful and evocative place known through successful films or TV series.

This year – thanks to the Disney film with Halle Bailey – it was Sardinia's turn. In recent months, however, it had happened to Sicily (+198% of searches on travel sites), after the second season of "The White Lotus" was aired and before that to the Spanish city of Granada, after the first season of "House of the Dragon” (+132%).

And again, again in recent years, the destination Paris has grown by 143% after the release of the series "Emily in Paris" and the Greek islands by 122% after the film "Glass Onion".

But, as we can see, recently we hadn't seen such a dizzying growth as the one Sardinia is experiencing. Merit of the Disney film, but – also and above all – of the beauty of the beaches and the fabulous landscapes of the island.
