The concern of Sardinian cattle farmers about the movement of calves beyond the Tyrrhenian Sea is growing. The complaint comes from Coldiretti , which reports the lack of places on ships for hauliers and cases of trucks that get stuck in ports, "with obvious damage to companies".
"After months of problems related to blockages due to animal diseases, from blue tongue to hemorrhagic deer, now the brakes on ships are repeated which do not allow our companies to respect deliveries and sell stabled animals - denounces the president of Coldiretti Sardinia, Battista Cualbu - we ask for an intervention that allows to overcome this obvious damage to farmers who continue to suffer huge losses. We have reported the problem to the Region and the Ministry - concludes Cualbu - now we trust that it will be remedied quickly, any further delay would cause other serious losses to our farmers".
