He documented his neighbor's movements because he wanted to prove that, in his opinion, he was a fake disabled person . To this end, a 60-year-old man from Chiaramonti had, according to the charges, recorded the comings and goings of his neighbor and his wife from 2020 to 2022, with videos and photos that he himself then handed over to the Carabinieri. As the prosecutor reported in court during the hearing in Sassari in recent days, " the man was fully aware that he was making life impossible for the couple ."

The plaintiff's lawyer, Laura Murziani, emphasized "the defendant's bitterness and relentlessness toward the injured parties ." This resentment, as defense lawyer Marco Manca pointed out, actually affected both parties, as they had been the subject of years of complaints and counter-complaints, and dozens of trials, accusing each other of a wide variety of crimes.

Manca himself expressed hope that this would be the last proceeding involving the couple and the 60-year-old. Judge Antonietta Crobu imposed a fine of €374 on the man, plus his own legal costs, and awarded the civil parties €500 in damages each.
