Last year was a success and this year promises to be even more so. Tyrrhenica returns to Quartucciu.
The performance that combines history, art and music, after having touched various centers of the Island, will now stop in the town on the outskirts of Cagliari. The first appointment is on September 6th at 9:30 pm at DoMusArT, in via Neghelli. On stage "La via del pepe" by Massimiliano Carlotto, with the wonderful voices of Elena Ledda, Simonetta Soro accompanied by the Poco Stabile di Mare e Miniere orchestra.
Two days later, on September 8th, we move to the Quartucce countryside and more precisely to the Tomba dei Giganti of Is Concas. The appointment here is at 10.30 for the guided tour with the archaeologist Patrizia Zuncheddu and the concerts of Mauro Palmas, Giacomo Vardeu and Matteo Leone.
The adhesion to the project arises from the will of the culture department whose intent is to promote and enhance the territory.
“La via del pepe”, published in 2014, is a “fake African fairy tale for right-thinking Europeans” that tells the moving story of a young shipwrecked migrant on his journey to Lampedusa and a new life. Through this ironic and touching fairy tale, crucial issues such as the drama of migrants in the Mediterranean, hunger and wars are addressed.
Taking inspiration from the story of the Paduan writer, the artists will give shape to a fresco in music and words on the themes of travel, death and hope.
