A new event is coming under the stars in the garden of Casa Piga: on Saturday 20 July from 8pm in via Delle More, 44 in Sant'Isidoro, guests will be entertained by a performance by the Roman singer-songwriter Nicoletta Salvi , aka Minestrella Femminista.

Multi-instrumentalist, performer, architect, activist, through her songs she brings the feminist message to the world , accompanied by percussionist Antonio Merola.

The Menestrella Femminista project was born in 2011, when Nicoletta Salvi realized that popular music, which she has been playing and singing for years, reflects the dominant patriarchal culture of Italian society. He therefore decides to change it, modifying the lyrics of the songs. From there her lyrics are born, ironic and arrogant, which overturn the vision of reality and transport us to a different world , in which the characters and situations described by traditional culture become new, feminist.

The name "Menestrella" was proposed to her during one of her performances at the Lady Fest, in which she participated in the Roman edition of 2011. After an initial experimentation with lyrics, Nicoletta also tries her hand as an author and composer and creates original songs, in a popular style , which propose in-depth topics on matriarchy and the female and feminist vision of reality.
