Fatal accident along Provincial Road 17, on the Quartu coast.

The victim is a 23-year-old young man - Nicola Perra, from Sinnai - who went off the road with his motorbike, which also caught fire after ending up against the wall of a house and then against a road sign.

The alarm was raised immediately by some motorists, with the subsequent intervention on site by officers from the Quartu police station, the local police and the firefighters.

The first aid was provided by the doctors of a 118 medical unit: unfortunately everything was in vain.

Also at the scene of the tragedy were some of the victim's friends, who were returning from the sea with him on other means of transport .

The body was then removed and made available to the family.

At the news of the tragic accident there was great condolence in Sinnai, where Perra, who had graduated from Quartu, was well known and respected.
