A prisoner has returned from a permit in the prison of Sassari and has been stopped because he is in possession of drugs. The operational intervention started today at the disposal of the Regional Provveditorato with the use of dog units to prevent drug dealing inside the Bancali detention facility . Checks were carried out on prison environments, on family members and prisoners who returned from the permit.
During the check carried out by the Anti-drug Detachment of Nuoro Badu 'e Carros on a prisoner returning from leave, the dog Jedro, a magnificent specimen of Rottweiler, signaled the alleged presence of drugs. A careful inspection was thus carried out on the prisoner on which a substantial envelope divided into two ovules was found, cleverly hidden in his private parts: in the first there was heroin, in the second cocaine. There Jedro's signal avoided the introduction of more than 50 doses of narcotic substance to Pallets.
The prisoner was reported to the judicial authorities and the drugs seized.

Giovanni Villa, general secretary of the Fns Cisl Sardegna is satisfied: «Once again the regional Dog Department carries out a service positively», he writes in a note. «An applause to them with the request to the administrator that the commendable operation be kept in the account for a just recognition. Jedro our four-legged colleague was fundamental, as was his handler».
