It would not be an accident at work, but rather a sudden illness, which struck him at the exact moment in which, a few steps away from him, a polyester material pad fell from his son's truck, setting off the alarm.

This is the reconstruction of what happened this afternoon in a construction company in Partosardo around 3:45 pm where the emergency services of 118, the firefighters, and the men of the Flying Squad and the Mobile of the Nuoro Police Headquarters arrived, together with the Spresal of the ASL.

The man, AL, 68 years old from Orosei, was admitted to the intensive care unit of San Francesco in Nuoro in serious conditions. It all happened in the afternoon.

The man had accompanied his son to Nuoro and together they were in the company yard in Pratosardo. The young man was busy moving the material from his truck, his father was watching from a short distance away. At a certain point a platform with insulation panels fell to the ground making a great racket. Perhaps this scared the man or he made a sudden movement and fell to the ground.

A coincidence that made the first responders think it was an accident at work, but once the investigators and the Spresal experts arrived, the story seemed different: on the man's body there were no evident signs of trauma.

Taken to the hospital, tests were carried out.
