Tragedy this morning along state road 125 , near Matta and Peru , in the territory of Posada . A couple of French tourists, riding a motorbike, were involved in a violent head-on collision with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The rescue efforts were in vain for the woman, 54 years old , who died instantly. Her husband, in serious conditions, was rushed to the hospital by helicopter.

The 118 operators, the 9A team of the Fire Brigade Detachment and the police intervened on site, who carried out surveys to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.
