Portoscuso, a man argues with his father and resists the police: arrested

Last night, the Carabinieri intervened to break up a violent family argument that had broken out in a house in the city center.

The alarm was raised by a neighbor, who contacted 112 reporting screams and suspicious noises coming from the apartment.

According to the military's reconstruction, a 26-year-old local man, unemployed and already known to the police , allegedly attacked his cohabiting father, a 63-year-old man originally from Iglesias, and also damaged some of the home's furnishings.

The Portoscuso Carabinieri, who were the first to intervene, found the young man in severe agitation.

During the containment operations, the young man allegedly resisted the soldiers , making it necessary for a patrol from the Mobile Radio Unit of the Iglesias Company to intervene, which arrived to provide support.

Coordination between the two units allowed the 26-year-old to be arrested and handcuffed without anyone, neither the soldiers nor his family, suffering injuries .

Once calm was restored, the young man was escorted to the barracks and subsequently transferred to Uta prison, where he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
