They grow like mushrooms in the countryside, scattered with dozens of illegal landfills in the areas that limit the territory of Porto Torres, waste indiscriminately abandoned even in some city areas where landscape protection regulations are in force. The dramatic situation present in the campaigns identified by the uncivilized to get rid of all sorts of material, including special waste, will be the subject of a census by the Porto Torres barracellar company, led by commander Gavino Cuccu.

Areas transformed into small and large landfills will be included in a map to easily identify the sites and establish intervention measures to sanction those responsible for violations against environmental protection regulations.

"In a week, the operation to take a census of polluted places filled with waste will start - underlines Cuccu - with an indication of the type of material that has been abandoned". From eternity to rubble and to car tires, a transparent operation, a sort of paper dossier necessary to establish the tools to be made to fight the enemies of the environment.

"We have prepared a municipal regulation to identify the most sensitive places, in the city and in the suburbs, where to install cameras and photo-traps to sanction those responsible for environmental crimes - explains the Councilor for the Environment, Massimiliano Ledda - a system of 'tolerance zero 'which provides for high fines against uncivilized people ”.

The document will go through the municipal council for approval.
