New infiltrations and water in the recently built public housing units, which have already undergone technical checks by the municipal administration of Porto Torres .

With the wind and the rain, the situation has worsened and for the 49 families who settled four years ago, on May 10, 2019 , the fear is that of finding themselves without a roof. The biggest problems are found in the houses in via Puglisi, where the plasterboard vault has collapsed and safety measures are awaited.

The results of the checks on the terraces of 23 apartments are worrying, and given the precarious structural conditions of the balconies, a management order was issued on 1 March, which declared the balconies unusable, with a ban on the use of the terraces subjected to shoring. The presence of cracks and moths in some areas of the houses has alarmed families.

The municipal administration has activated a preventive technical assessment of the individual apartments before the Civil Court of Sassari, to verify the causes of all construction defects and crystallize the situation, in order to avoid incurring forfeiture for reporting serious defects in the construction of the properties against the construction company. “But here the situation is much more serious – the tenants say – we risk abandoning the houses and being left without a roof because they are completely uninhabitable. Yes, from the beginning of our entry they presented serious internal problems that made our life impossible».

In recent days, the Sardinian council group had denounced the housing emergency in the city, with 170 families looking for a home.
